NBA Results: Knicks Win, Lakers & Pistons Records Fall

The New York Knicks ruined what could have been LeBron James’ last game at Madison Square Garden, extending their winning streak to six with a 112-100 win.

OG Anunoby scored 25 points and off the bench Landry Shamet added 23 to lead the Knicks. Four-time NBA MVP LeBron James, a 41-year-old Lakers star, has not yet made a decision about his future beyond this season, his 23rd in the NBA, an all-time record.

Josh Hart added 20 points for the Knicks, while All-Star guard Jalen Brunson finished with 12 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists.

We’re just playing together“Brunson said of the streak.”Staying united is the most important thing, supporting each other and taking our responsibilities. We have to continue like this. We cannot be satisfied. It’s a collective effort.

The Knicks rise to 31-18, second in the Eastern Conference behind Detroit, while the Lakers fall to 29-19 despite 30 points from Luka Doncic and 22 from James, who at the Garden has a record of 23-9 on the day he was selected for his 22nd NBA All-Star Game, another record. It was the Lakers’ first loss of the season after leading at halftime.
