Navigating Life’s Uncertainty | Personal Update

The Spanish badminton player Carolina Marín commented this Thursday that the last few months have been “quite hard” for her, mainly due to the “sharp” pain she has been experiencing in her knee, and that her priority now is her “quality of life” and her “health”, so she does not want to rule out any scenario.

“The last few months have been quite hard for me and one of the main reasons was my knee. In the last videos I told you that I was not well emotionally. I think that now you are going to understand very well one of the main reasons why everything has been much more complicated,” said the Olympic champion after undergoing surgery for the third time on her knee.

Carolina Marín expressed that, right now, she does not want to “rule anything out” and that she only thinks about “focusing and prioritizing” her knee. “I have six weeks ahead of me to recover. I want to face it in the best possible way, being positive, but also being aware of what I have,” she added.

The seven-time European champion explained that her priority now is “quality of life and health.” “I have been enduring very sharp pain for many months, especially in the internal meniscus, although I have also been affected by the external meniscus,” he noted.

Finally, the Huelva native stressed that she is “very happy” about the operation because the doctors have “helped her a lot.” “Now it’s time to face the first week with crutches. There are six weeks in total of recovery, and I’m looking forward to regaining muscle little by little,” he concluded.
