Quebecer Bennedict Mathurin was traded to the Clippers by the Los Angeles Indiana Pacers on Thursday.
In addition to the back, the Pacers sent center Isaiah Jackson, two first-round picks and another second round to Los Angeles in return for Ivica Zubac and Kobe Brown.

Mathurin is having the best season of his career, averaging 17.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. The one who earns $9 million this season must have sensed this trade coming, he who had been sidelined by his team for the clash against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday.
After reaching the NBA finals last year, lost in seven games against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Indiana team is having an atrocious season, collapsing in the bottom of the Eastern Association with only 13 victories in 51 outings. For their part, the Clippers are in the heart of the playoff race in the West and the addition of Mathurin and Jackson will allow them to have more depth in their lineup.
