Girgenson played 17 minutes, 21 seconds with one shot on goal, four power plays, one fumble loss and a negative -1 efficiency rating.
After 11 seconds played, Brandon Hagel gave the home team the lead, but the Bostonians continued to score five goals in a row to make it 5-1 by the middle of the second period. Morgan Geekie led the Bruins with two accurate shots in this period, and Alex Steeves, Viktor Arvidsson and Matthew Poitras each had one.
