The championship is organized into three age groups, whose participants will adjust the game calendars flexibly. Each pair will agree on the time of their confrontations when the four players are available, always in the covered fronton of Gamarra, the stage that once again hosts the competition.
In the third category, where the majority compete, there are couples such as Pedro and Sevilla, Vallejo and Jai, Aniba and Azpiazu or Julián and Floren, who will seek to prevail in this phase. Some of the older players have joined the first or second category, although the bulk remain in the aforementioned third level.
In the second category, intense competition is expected, with the presence of youth, strength and quality with pairs such as Joserra and Borja or Joseba and Etxezarreta. On the other hand, the first category includes players considered elite in the tournament, such as Kortazar and Murguiondo or Vaskillo and Oyarzabal.
Pelota players between twenty and seventy years old participate in the tournament, as well as boys and girls who still compete in federated and prestigious events at the regional level linked to the rubber paddle game.
