WHAT HAPPENED?

Fenerbahçe Club announced that the transfer of N’Golo Kante, which had been on its agenda for a while, did not take place due to the player’s club not being able to complete the documents.

The statement made by the yellow-dark blue club for the French star is as follows:

“The transfer process involving Al Ittihad Club and N’Golo Kanté and Youssef En-Nesyri was carried out meticulously by our club as planned and in all aspects.

In this process, which progressed in line with the request of our technical staff, an agreement was reached with the players; The health checks of the player to be transferred have been completed, the necessary approvals have been received and our club has fully fulfilled all its obligations within the required time. Documents regarding transfer registration have been uploaded to the system accurately and completely within the specified time.

However, due to the incorrect entry of the relevant TMS information by the other club, the transactions could not be completed within the transfer registration period, independently of our club. In this regard, additional time was requested, the necessary negotiations with FIFA were held by our club and all steps were taken to resolve the process. Despite this, in the ongoing process, the transactions were not completed by the opposing club without providing any justification to us.

As a result of these developments, unfortunately the transfer process in question could not be concluded.

We understand and share the frustration this process has created in our community.

“Our club continues to build its squad in line with its sporting goals with the same determination and discipline.”
