The DRC men’s basketball Leopards are planning a training course from February 13 to 23 in Catalonia, Spain.

The Congolese will go there to prepare for the second window of the FIBA ​​World Cup 2027 qualifiers, Africa zone, said the Congo Basketball Federation (FEBACO).

This grouping is part of a structured preparation program, made possible thanks to the DRC–Barcelona partnership, offering a high-level framework equipped with modern infrastructure.

Several Congolese internationals already playing in Europe, including Jordan Sakho and Yannick Nzosa, will take part in this course, alongside other players from France, Serbia, Cyprus, the DRC and other African countries.

The result of a joint initiative by the Minister of Sports and Leisure, Didier Budimbu, and the President of FEBACO, Paulin Kabongo, this course will precede the competition planned in Dakar, Senegal, from February 26 to March 1, 2026, where the Leopards will face Ivory Coast, Senegal and Madagascar, in a group announced to be tough.
