Le Relecq-Kerhuon: Doubles Tournament & High-Level Play

National doubles tournament, this weekend, at Relecq-Kerhuon

Badminton will be in the spotlight this weekend at Relecq-Kerhuon with the national doubles tournament, played at the Kermadec – Alice-Milliat gymnasium. The competition will bring together nearly 180 players, ranging from unclassified to N2 and mainly from the Greater West, notably from Rennes or the Rostrenen club, residents of the Top 12. “It’s a very tough field, with players used to national competitions,” underlines Denis Cariou, head of the organization.

David Prigent, the tournament local

The men’s doubles and women’s doubles events will take place on Saturday, with finals scheduled between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday will be devoted to mixed doubles, from categories NC to N2. “The idea is to offer an accessible tournament, while maintaining a high level of play,” specifies the organizer.

Among the favorites, Martin Boiveau and Nils Tostivint will be seeded No. 1. Florian De Groote and Thomas Jourdren complete the list of title contenders, the latter also being able to aim for a mixed victory with Jeanne Le Roux. The local public will also follow David Prigent, Relecq-Kerhuon player, engaged in N3.
