Jules Lapierre Fall: France at Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony

We had to wait for the end of the opening ceremony of the Milan-Cortina Olympic Games to finally see the Blues parade this Friday evening. As organizer of the next Winter Olympics, France only entered the San Siro stadium and the various ceremony sites in penultimate position, just before Italy.

Of the 162 French athletes competing in these Games, only 130 took part in the ceremony. The tricolor flag bearers, Clément Noël and Chloé Trespeuch, were in Livigno, where the snowboarding and freestyle events will take place. The rest of the delegation was distributed between the San Siro stadium in Milan, Cortina d’Ampezzo and Predazzo.

It was around 10:10 p.m. that the French delegation appeared
