The Nerazzurre dominated at the Moreno Gubbiotti Stadium in Narni, beating Ternana 1-0 in matchday 12 of Serie A Women. It was a narrow victory, but a crucial one nonetheless, thanks to Detruyer’s goal in the first half. With these three points, Inter Women solidify their position in second place with 24 points. They are now just five points behind the league leaders, Roma, who drew with Parma in matchday 12.
Inter began the match determined, and they found an early breakthrough in the sixth minute: Merlo surged down the right and sent a dangerous cross into the box. Following a scramble, Detruyer was fastest to react, firing a right-footed shot into the net for the decider. The Nerazzurre continued to stay in control, keeping up their momentum and confidence. In the 14th minute, Tomaselli finished a spectacular team effort with a left-footed shot that drifted just wide, while in the 37th minute, Milinkovic tried for a header but Schroffenegger easily denied her. Inter ended the first half comfortably, without giving away any chances to the hosts.

In the second half, Ternana pressed further up the pitch, but Inter stayed compact and well-organised. In the 59th minute, Rúnarsdottir denied a long-range effort from Ternana. The Nerazzurre then came close to doubling their lead several times: in the 69th minute, Milinkovic rose highest in an attempt to head home, but the ball flew too high. Inter then threatened later in the game with a double chance in the 87th minute: first Santi with a left-footed strike, then Milinkovic again from close range, but Schroffenegger was alert both times to avoid conceding. In added time, Lazaro came close to an equaliser, but after a VAR check for a potential penalty, it was ruled offside.
