Huelva is preparing to host the Andalusian Senior Badminton Championship this weekend at the Carolina Marín Sports Palace, an event that will bring together 91 players over 30 years of age from 21 clubs from six provinces in 25 sports events.
The organization of the event corresponds to the Andalusian Badminton Federation and the Huelva Badminton Club, with the support of the City Council, the Government of Andalusia and the Provincial Council, who see in the competition an opportunity to reaffirm the sporting projection of the city.
The main concern of the organization in the current storm is the safety of road travel, so participants have been recommended to consult the 112 service before starting their trips and prioritize caution.
This championship also functions as a prelude to the Absolute European Badminton Championship, which Huelva will host in April, reinforcing the province’s role as a reference in this sport in the south of Spain. Carolina Marín’s presence is in doubt due to her recent knee operation.
