Hareskov Badminton: Klubmesterskab & Forårsfest 2026 – Tilmelding Åben!

Hareskov Badminton is gearing up for a week of competition and celebration as it opens registration for its 2026 Club Championships and accompanying Spring Festival. The event, scheduled to take place throughout week 17, promises a vibrant atmosphere filled with spirited play and community camaraderie. Registration is now open via Holdsport.

The club, known for its welcoming environment and active membership, caters to players of all ages and skill levels, from youth players to seasoned veterans. Hareskov Badminton provides a space for individuals to connect through their shared passion for the sport.

Championship Schedule and Format

The tournament will feature a variety of doubles events, offering opportunities for both pre-formed partnerships and those looking to team up with new players. Here’s a breakdown of the schedule:

  • Monday, April 20th, 6:30 PM: Women’s Doubles (self-selected partner), Men’s Doubles (self-selected partner)
  • Tuesday, April 21st, 6:30 PM: Women’s Doubles (blind draw, play to 21), Men’s Doubles (blind draw, play to 21)
  • Thursday, April 23rd, 6:30 PM: Mixed Doubles (self-selected partner)
  • Saturday, April 25th, 3:00 PM: Mixed Doubles (blind draw, play to 21)

Grand Finale and Spring Festival

The championships will culminate in a festive evening on Saturday, April 25th, beginning at 3:00 PM with a blind mixed doubles competition. The evening will continue with a Spring Festival in the club cafeteria at 6:30 PM, featuring an awards ceremony, food, and a lively atmosphere. The dress code for the festival is “spring colors,” and attendance is priced at 200 kr plus a 5 kr fee through Holdsport. Participants are welcome to invite a partner by purchasing two tickets and noting their name in the chat function.

Practical Tournament Information

The registration deadline for the Club Championships is April 9th, 2026, and participation is free. The tournament committee will determine the number of brackets based on the number of entries and will place players in appropriate skill-level divisions. Players with pre-selected partners should both register and indicate their partnership in the chat. Those seeking a partner can simply list their name followed by a question mark (“?”) in the chat. Matches will begin at 6:30 PM on weekdays and 3:00 PM on Saturday.

For those unfamiliar with the format, a “blind draw” means players will be randomly paired with a partner for the competition. This adds an element of surprise and encourages players to meet and play with new members of the club.

Community Spirit and Volunteer Opportunities

Hareskov Badminton emphasizes the importance of community involvement. Volunteers are needed to assist with match officiating, cafeteria operations, and event setup. The club will also continue its tradition of recognizing a “Club Member of the Week” to acknowledge individuals who make significant contributions both on and off the court.

The cafeteria will be open throughout the week, offering a selection of refreshments and food, including draft beer, wine, water, flæskestegssandwich (roast pork sandwich), and pie. All are welcome to visit, even those not participating in the tournament, to enjoy the convivial atmosphere.

“We look forward to a week filled with spring, feathers, and community!” said the tournament and festival committee, comprised of Peter Sønder Hansen, Stine Wulff Bille, and Malene Jensen.

Hareskov Badminton, located in Hareskovhallen, has been a fixture in the local badminton scene for decades, fostering a love for the sport among players of all ages. The club’s commitment to inclusivity and community spirit makes it a popular destination for badminton enthusiasts in the region.

The club also offers seasonal badminton opportunities, as noted in a recent announcement regarding the 2025/2026 season, which begins on August 18th. Holdsport is being updated with team schedules and information about open tournaments, including the Værløse Open.

Looking ahead, Hareskov Badminton will host its annual club championship for seniors, combined with a spring festival, in week 17. The club also recently announced a tournament opportunity in Værløse on February 28th and March 1st, 2026, with a registration deadline of February 5th, 2026.

The club’s commitment to providing opportunities for players of all levels is further demonstrated by its MiniTon program, designed for children aged 5-7 and their parents. This program introduces young players to the fundamentals of badminton in a fun and engaging environment.
