Hancko: New Atlético Teammate Confirmed

MADRID – Nigerian footballer Ademola Lookman is leaving Atalanta Bergamo and will play in the Spanish league for Atlético Madrid.

The club stated today that it will conclude a contract with the twenty-eight-year-old representative after a medical examination. According to the media, Atlético will pay 35 million euros for the attacking midfielder.

Lookman joined Bergamo in 2022 from Leipzig and scored 55 competitive goals for the Italian club. His greatest moments of glory came the year before last in the Europa League final, where he scored a hat-trick against Leverkusen and saw to it that his opponent’s remarkable streak of 51 games without defeat ended.

Lookman was born in London, represented England in youth categories. He played 41 games for Nigeria. Atlético believes that it will also help him in the elimination part of the Champions League, in which the team awaits a double-header against Bruges in February.
