The newly constructed Multi Sports Complex/Indoor Stadium was inaugurated late Thursday evening in the Ghazipur Police Line premises. Superintendent of Police Dr. Iraj Raja inaugurated it by cutting the ribbon. The complex will provide facilities for various sports activities for the policemen and their families.
The facility of two badminton courts, one table tennis court and carrom board has been provided in the indoor stadium. High quality equipment has been installed in all playing fields. Apart from this, necessary facilities like seating chairs, fire alarm system, power backup, changing rooms, store rooms and toilets have also been developed for the convenience of the players.
On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Dr. Iraj Raja said that policemen should take out time from their busy work schedules and participate in sports. He emphasized that this will keep them physically and mentally healthy and their efficiency will also increase.
The SP described this initiative as an important step towards keeping the policemen stress free and making them fitness conscious. Additional Superintendent of Police City, Additional Superintendent of Police Rural, Area Officer Police Line, Counter Inspector and other officers and employees of the police department were present in the program.
