Genk & Besiktas Agree on Oh, Traoré to Antwerp Confirmed

Anderlecht had to exercise patience, but Mathys Angély’s latest transfer is still official

Phew. After technical problems during the registration of the transfer of Wolfsburg defender Mathys Angély (18) to Anderlecht, the deal was officially finalized. The young defender is rented for the rest of the season, and the Purple & White also negotiated a purchase option.

An agreement was reached with all parties on Monday evening, but when Anderlecht wanted to register the deal, technical problems arose. According to the official authorities, RSCA had already exceeded its number of rental players – you can count a maximum of six – but that information was incorrect. A mercenary from a few years ago was wrongly charged.

The Purple & White were not at fault, they raised the misunderstanding with FIFA and the KBVB and received signals (but no guarantees) that the transfer will still be arranged after the deadline has expired. However, around 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning, Wolfsburg communicated that the transfer had been finalized.
