On Tuesday evening it became clear that the Hütteldorfers were now on the verge of bringing Yusuf Demir from Galatasaray Istanbul back to his old place of work. The 22-year-old offensive player no longer has any prospects with the Turks; his contract expires in the summer. Demir could probably leave Galatasaray for free and his contract would be terminated. As “Sky” reports, Rapid wants to bring the “prodigal son” back to the west of Vienna. There is talk of a contract until 2027 plus an option. Demir could then play in familiar surroundings and together with his brother Furkan at Rapid. It is said that the 22-year-old is about to sign.

The 34-year-old should therefore receive a contract until the summer, which is how the Green-Whites would react to Claudy Mbuyi’s injury and Noah Bischof’s departure. Weimann has one goal and three assists in 25 championship games this season.
Weimann played for the Rapid youth team up to the U19 level before moving to the island in 2007, initially to Aston Villa. He played 113 times in the Premier League and an impressive 393 times in the second highest English league.
