Feyenoord lost without a chance to PSV on Sunday and after yet another setback in a short time, a group of fans decided to wait for the players bus. However, the bus never arrived at the 1908 training complex, it said Algemeen Dagblad.
Around 6:30 p.m., a group of about a hundred supporters gathered at 1908 on Olympiaweg. Half stood in front of the entrance, while the other half stood near the roundabout at Sportlaan.
The supporters stood there for hours, but around 8 p.m. there was still no sign of the players bus. The already disappointed fans had to deal with yet another disappointment and dropped out, just like police officers and security guards who kept an eye on things.
The chance that Feyenoord’s selection on Sunday will come close to De Kuip or 1908 is extremely small. Sources report to it Algemeen Dagblad that the selection of trainer Robin van Persie is staying in a hotel.
However, measures have been taken at De Kuip, just in case. The gate in the parking lot at the main entrance is closed, making it impossible to reach the Maas building. Supporters who have parked their cars inside the fences are out of luck. The gates will remain closed for the time being.
Feyenoord trailed PSV 3-0 after eighteen minutes on Sunday. A monster result like in 2010 (10-0) threatened for a while, but it would remain at 3-0. Feyenoord suffered its second defeat in a row and the battle for second place is completely open.
Feyenoord has won only one of its last six Eredivisie matches. The Rotterdam team is still second, but the third-placed NEC now has fewer losing points. In addition, number four Ajax, which has played as many matches as Feyenoord, also has only one point less.
