Javier López’s time at the head of Motagua will continue without problems. A few hours ago, it circulated on social networks that the Spanish coach had “presented” his resignation as Ciclón Azul coach after a series of internal problems with some players on the team.

However, Javier López himself has stated, through the official Motagua website, that the information is completely false.

“I want to categorically deny the information that has circulated in recent hours about an alleged resignation from my position as technical director of Fútbol Club Motagua.”

Knowing this, Javier López will continue fighting for the current Clausura tournament, where he started on the right foot after beating Platense on the second day of the league competition. On the third date they tied 1-1 against Real España.

I have not resigned, nor have I expressed any intention to do so. I am fully committed to the club, delighted to live in the country and the city, proud to be part of this institution and totally focused on daily work and meeting the sporting objectives of the season.
