Extraliga Returns: Sparta Praha Faces Mladá Boleslav in Rescheduled Match

The Czech Extraliga is back in action! Or, rather, the appetizer before the main course. Mladá Boleslav and Sparta Praha will resume competition, completing their 34th-round matchup on Sunday, March 3, 2026, at 19:00 UTC. The game will be broadcast on Oneplay sport and a text feed is available on Hokej.cz.

Today’s Rescheduled 34th Round Match

17:30 BK Mladá Boleslav – HC Sparta Praha (Oneplay sport) Sparta Praha was the last team to play before the Olympic break and is the first to return to the ice. They suffered a 1-4 loss to Plzeň on February 2nd, but remain in contention for a direct berth into the quarterfinals. A win today would bring Sparta within four points of the top four teams in the standings.

Forward Filip Chlapík, who was a standout performer for the Czech team in Milan, will suit up for Sparta. Latvian forward Martins Dzierkals’ participation has also been confirmed by the club.

“Our wish is to entertain again,”

Mladá Boleslav’s situation is somewhat different. They are aiming to secure a spot in the preliminary round. Currently holding the 13th position, a victory would allow them to leapfrog Kladno in the standings. “We want the team to play hockey in the final stretch of the season that represents who we are – combative, honest, and a team. Our wish is to entertain again,” stated sports manager Martin Ševc in an interview with the club’s website.

Mladá Boleslav had a longer break since their last game, which took place on January 29th on Sparta’s ice, resulting in a 1-4 defeat. However, prior to that, they accumulated a respectable 13 points from six games.
