A historic event in French cycling, the Étoile de Bessèges attracts each year to the Gard a field mixing World Team formations and young talents in search of visibility. Unfortunately, the startlist for this 2026 edition (February 4 to 8) will be less demanding this year. Blame it on repeated incidents involving cars on the course that made teams wary, with most withdrawing last year.
The complete program of the Étoile de Bessèges:
- Stage 1, Wednesday February 4: Bellegarde – Bellegarde (150 km)
- Stage 2, Thursday February 5: Saint-Gilles – Domessargues (160 km)
- Stage 3, Friday February 6: Bessèges – Bessèges (162 km)
- Stage 4, Saturday February 7: Saint-Christol-les-Alès – Vauvert (162 km)
- Stage 5, Sunday February 8: Alès – Alès (10 km)
From Bellegarde to Alès, the riders will have to cover the 646 km of the event in five stages, the last of which is a time trial around Alès.
The entire race will be followed live on television on the L’Equipe channel, every day from 2 p.m., except Saturday (2:55 p.m.).
