Dronten Sports Election 2025: De Ruiter & Falkena Win

DRONTEN – Dronten held the annual Sports Election on Friday evening, February 6, in the Meerpaal. During a festive meeting, presented by Robin van der Stege, the municipality put its sporty residents in the spotlight. The evening was musically framed by Hans Jansen Music.

A new category, Sporty Surprise, made its debut this year and was well received by the public. Councilor Siert Jan Lap personally presented the prizes to the winners and champions.

The winners per category are as follows:

Volunteers:
Carl Custers (Bas Voetbal), Titia Elema (ASVD Q-cape korfball), Henk Veldhuizen (asv Dronten football), Getruud Dijkveld (Swift’64 football)

Sports talents:
Ylène Zondervan (swimming) – sports talent girl
Douwe Enzerink (swimming) – sporting talent boy

Adapted athlete:
Siemen Scheepsma (crossfit)

Sportswoman of the Year:
Evi Falkena (athletics)

Sportsman of the Year:
Rolf de Ruiter (windsurfing)

Coach of the year:
Annie Claassen (equestrian)

Youth sports team of the year:
Youth team Badminton Club Dronten (badminton)

Sports team of the year:
