Down Syndrome Football Cup – Russia 2024

The competition will be held in four cities of Russia, including Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg and St. Petersburg.

The Cup will take place as part of the series of adaptive sports festivals “Bet on Equals” in 2026. For the first time, the key type of the program will be football as one of the most accessible and team sports.

Teams of football players with Down syndrome, as well as non-profit organizations, sports schools and inclusive centers are invited to participate. More than 20 teams from different regions are expected to take part in the tournament.

Cup stage schedule:

March 21–23: Rostov-on-Don (for teams of the Southern Federal District);
June: Ekaterinburg;
July: Nizhny Novgorod (with the support of the Academy of FC “Paris NN”);
September: final in St. Petersburg.

The winners and silver medalists of the regional stages, as well as two teams that received a special invitation (wild card), will play in the finals. The winning team will receive a certificate for 100 thousand rubles to upgrade sports equipment. After the final matches, a networking session will be organized for the participants to exchange experiences.
