Corinthians is considering offering Utrecht Zakaria Labyad (32) a contract, various Brazilian media report. In São Paulo he can be reunited with former teammate Memphis Depay.

In the 2011/12 season, Labyad and Memphis played together at PSV. The latter has been playing for Corinthians since 2024.

Memphis may get a Dutch teammate in Brazil. Corinthians are said to be in talks with Labyad, who is currently without a club.

Labyad is also said to have negotiated with Corinthians last year, but the club was imposed a transfer ban not much later.

Labyad’s transfer-free status has made him even more interesting. The six-time Morocco international left Chinese club Dalian Yingbo in early January.

In Brazil, Labyad and Corinthians are expected to work it out. In that case, he moves to South America after two years in China.

Abroad, Labyad has played for Sporting Portugal, Fulham, Yunnan Yukun and Dalian Yingbo to date. In the Netherlands, the midfielder was under contract with PSV, Vitesse, Ajax and FC Utrecht.
