When the camera focused on Thiney, Daniel Bravo first declared: “She’s not very attentive.”after a close-up where she was chatting in the stands of the Jean Bouin stadium. “She’s like you Daniel, she gives technical explanations”replied Christophe Josse, the journalist who has formed the commentary duo with Bravo for years. “I feel like she was talking about lingerie,” adds the former PSG player, without hiding a smile. Josse retorts: “No, no, no”. A silence of a few seconds follows. And the two men move on.

A slip-up which earned him a suspension from his functions with the broadcaster beIN Sports. Questioned by our colleagues from The Team this Wednesday, the ex-commentator made a point of apologizing: “It’s a terrible mistake […] a shithole. It was a dirty joke and I completely missed it.”
He then added: “I should never have said that, and it hurts me to be judged by this unfortunate word that does not correspond to me. With Gaëtane, I think the incident is over, but I am well aware of having put a lot of people at odds. […] I am deeply sorry.” Then Daniel Bravo concludes: “I understand my antenna suspension. I think I’ll come back, though. But the moment is complicated, because I have the impression of being a punching bag, a man on the ground who is being kicked.”.
