On Saturday, January 31, the “2025 Year Award” of Latvian wrestling sports took place in Jūrmala, in which coaches and athletes were honored for the past year’s achievements, informs “Liepājas Kompleksā sporta skola”, press representative Simona Laiveniece.
The award as the best judo coach of the year went to Vladimir Shevkov, and Maksim Duinov was recognized as the judo athlete of the year.
Jānis Rörichs was recognized as the best coach of the year in Greco-Roman wrestling, and Oliver Irklis received the award as junior of the year in Greco-Roman wrestling.
