Carnival Race 2026: Port Traffic Updates

In view of the 2026 edition of the BPER Banca Crotone International Carnival Race, the municipal administration has placed a series of temporary measures that will affect traffic in the port area of the city.

The measures, adopted to guarantee the safe conduct of the sailing event, will come into force from 6:00 am on Thursday 12 February and will remain active until 6:00 pm on Wednesday 18 February 2026.

In detail, there will be a parking ban with forced removal on via Molo Porto Nuovo, in the stretch between via Miscello da Ripe and via Molo Sanità, with simultaneous closure of the same road segment to vehicular traffic. The limitations will not affect the vehicles serving the participants in the regatta.

A similar provision will affect via Molo Porto Vecchio and the first and second crossroads of via Molo Sanità, where both the parking ban with removal and the closure to vehicular traffic will be established in the same period of time. However, the external one-way traffic will remain unchanged, while only temporary access necessary for loading and unloading fish at the sales points will be permitted on the side streets.

Further changes to traffic have also been arranged to allow the execution of safety works on the bungalows at the San Leonardo Lido. In particular, on Viale Magna Grecia, in the stretch between Via Terina and Via Sibaris, a parking ban will be in force with forced removal starting from 6 February 2026 and until the end of the works.

In the same road section, limited to the days strictly necessary for the execution of the works, an alternate one-way system will also be established, regulated by a traffic light system or by qualified traffic controllers equipped with the required safety devices, until the completion of the operations.

The administration invites citizens and motorists to pay attention to temporary signs and to plan any alternative routes in advance.
