The press conferences at the end of Acqua S.Bernardo Cantù – Umana Reyer Venice.
WALTER DE RAFFAELE
«It’s a match that saw us almost always chasing, paying a huge effort to get back. We spent a lot both in the break between the first and second quarter and especially in the third quarter, when, after a soft approach, we understood how we had to play against a great team like Venezia: a little with white weapons. We managed a couple of consecutive possessions with little clarity at -3, these are mistakes that these teams make you pay for. I think the game was a bit all there, because then in the first five minutes of the last quarter almost no one scored and we weren’t even lucky enough to score fairly open baskets, but above all we didn’t have the clarity to make the right choices in those moments. I am convinced that the most important step to take is this. The guys who played gave everything they had. I had to give up Ballo because he wasn’t well, then Sneed also left due to a problem and so the blanket becomes short. However, we must be more astute in some situations in which we make trivial errors, raising the level of attention, because there isn’t much time.”
RICCARDO MORASCHINI
«It was a match with many ups and downs, against a very strong team. We missed the physical intensity that they put on the field for forty minutes. We had a good reaction after going 18 down, but in the end we arrived tired. We need to smooth out these partials that we take, I’m thinking of the second quarter. Venezia is a good team, but we can do better than what we did today.”
