Paris Basketball suffered its fourth defeat in five Euroleague matches, on the floor of Bayern Munich (81-75). With seven wins behind 10th place, it will take a small miracle to see the play-in.
Bad evening for the Betclic Elite clubs in the Euroleague. A few dozen minutes after Monaco’s big defeat in Kaunas, Paris Basketball lost on the floor of Bayern Munich, where the Roca Team will go on Friday. The defeat is lighter than that of the Monegasques, but it remains a defeat (81-75), the fourth in five Euroleague matches for the French champions.
Paris led by three points at the break
Paris started the match well, leading 0-6 then 7-11, but Bayern ended up closing at 12-12, before winning the first quarter 21-18. The Germans then controlled the second well, with a lead that fluctuated between two and seven points. At halftime, the score was 34-31 and everything remained possible for the Parisians. But the third quarter was of the same ilk, with a small lead (between +1 and +6) that the Bavarians managed to maintain throughout the ten minutes (52-49, 30th). In the last quarter, Paris never managed to get back on track. Bayern took a nine-point lead (60-51), then the French club returned to -3 (64-61), but not lower. 25 seconds from the end, a 3-point shot from Jared Rhoden gave Paris a little hope (78-75), but Bayern did not tremble on free throws.
Paris missed 8 free throws
An area in which the French champions did not shine, since they missed 8 free throws, which could leave them with a lot of regrets.
