Group Eyelet proved its music power by adding hundreds of millions of streaming songs on Spotify, a global audio and music streaming platform.

According to Spotify on the 7th, Aillet (Yoona, Minjoo, Mocha, Wonhee, Iroha)’s 1st single title song ‘Not Cute Anymore’ was played a cumulative 111,212,019 times as of the 5th. This song, released on November 24 last year, reached the billion-dollar streaming ranking in just two months.

‘Not Cute Anymore’ is a pop song based on reggae rhythm that intuitively expresses the feeling of not wanting to look just cute. Ailet was praised for broadening its musical spectrum by creating a calm and cool atmosphere, unlike the lively songs they had previously performed. The performance of smiling and then looking straight to the chorus of “I’m not cute anymore” attracted a lot of attention among music fans.

Their presence was also evident on the global charts. ‘Not Cute Anymore’, which features an addictive beat and sophisticated melody, was used as background music for the so-called ‘Hood Job Shot Challenge’ and emerged as a trend among the 1020 generation around the world. Thanks to this craze, this song ranked 7th on the U.S. Billboard’s ‘Bubbling Under Hot 100’ (as of January 17th), and has recently been a long-term success, with the number of monthly YouTube Music viewers exceeding 600 million (as of February 7th).

Eyelet has released a total of 6 billion-dollar streaming songs so far, including ‘Not Cute Anymore’. Among them, ‘Magnetic’ was played more than 700 million times in the shortest period of time (about 1 year and 7 months) among K-pop group debut songs. In addition, ‘Lucky Girl Syndrome’, ‘Cherish’, ‘Tic-Tac’, and ‘Borrowed Cat’ were streamed more than 100 million times together.

Meanwhile, Aillet will hold its first tour, ‘Islet Live ‘Press Start♥︎” and meet global fans. This performance will be held in seven cities at home and abroad, including Aichi, Osaka, Fukuoka, Hyogo, Tokyo, and Hong Kong, starting at the Seoul Ticket Link Live Arena (formerly a handball stadium) on March 14th and 15th.
