Atletico Madrid Sign Lookman: Transfer News

As the winter transfer market closes, Atletico Madrid hook Ademola Lookman. Atletico announced Lookman’s transfer agreement with Atalanta.

The Nigerian international striker bailed The Colchoneros with an agreement reaching 40 million euros (around Rp. 795.4 billion). In detail, Lookman’s transfer is worth 35 million euros while the other 5 million euros are in the form of bonuses.

Lookman has arrived in Madrid and his move will be completed after undergoing a medical test.

“Atletico de Madrid and Atalanta have reached an agreement regarding the move Ademola Lookmana 28-year-old Nigerian international striker, who is now in Madrid,” read a statement on the club’s official website.

“This agreement is subject to passing a medical examination and approval and formalization of the contract.”

Report Football-Italia, Lookman will be contracted with Atletico Madrid for four and a half years, namely until 2031. At his new club, Lookman earns a salary of 7 million euros per season (Rp. 139.1 billion).

Ademola Lookman has been linked with leaving Atalanta since scoring a hat-trick in the 2024 Europa League final. Lookman has been interested in Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan and recently Fenerbahce.

By agreement of transfer to Atletico MadridLookman immediately ended his three and a half season career with La Dea. So far, Lookman has made 137 appearances in all competitions, contributing 55 goals and 27 assists. Lookman was part of the Atalanta squad that won the 2023/2024 Europa League title.
