Sport – Diego Lucarini, former Italian Under 18 Outdoor Champion at the 2025 European Championships, flies to Bulgaria for the European Championships. Meanwhile, the Cassina club deploys its talents between Orte and Latina in the hunt for titles in Lazio
The rise of ASD Arcadia does not stop. The Cassina archery club, affiliated with FITARCO, is experiencing one of the highest moments in its recent history, projecting its talents from the training fields in the shadow of the Abbey to the international stages and the most prestigious regional finals.
The news that fills the city with pride is the official call-up of Diego Lucarini with the Italian national team shirt. The young talent from Cassino will fly to Bulgaria from 15 to 22 February to defend the blue colors at the European Championships.
Lucarini, already Italian Under 18 Outdoor Champion (70m) in 2025, will face this challenge with an important innovation: having recently turned 18, he will make his debut in the Under 21 Indoor category. A leap in category that does not frighten the archer, awaiting a test of technical and emotional maturity in a very high level context.
While Lucarini packs his bags for Europe, the rest of the Arcadia team is preparing to do battle in Lazio. Next weekend, in Orte, the regional finals will take place with six Cassino athletes ready to aim for the podium:
In the “Compound” division there is great anticipation for Noemi Esarti, who comes first in qualifying in the Girls category. Among the Juniors, all eyes are on Jacopo Vignola (2nd in the ranking), while in the women’s category Valentina Antinozzi and Francesca Carcione (3rd and 4th in the rankings respectively) will battle. Defending the colors of Arcadia in the “Olympic” division will be the expert Bruno Calao among the Seniors and the young Eleonora Pannone in the girls class.
The team’s commitment will then continue on Sunday 22 February in Latina, where Emmanuele Cristodaro and Giacomo Valente will play the regional final of the prestigious Fabianelli Trophy, after having brilliantly passed the qualifying phases. The archery community of Cassino rallies around its champions. The satisfaction of the Arcadia instructors is evident: their daily work is transforming the city into a true center of excellence for Lazio and national archery. The wish that resonates among members and fans is only one, simple and powerful: “Good arrows to everyone!”
