Andreas Hermansen Joins GAIS: Why It’s a Perfect Fit

During the past six months, GAIS has had several goalkeepers on trial.

The club has been clear about the need to strengthen the position.

In the end, the choice fell on Denmark. Andreas Hermansen was picked up from AC Horsens, who during the week joined the team at the training camp in Alicante.

When GAIS landed on site, the 21-year-old goalkeeper met the squad and was presented as a new player the following day.

After his first training session with the team, Hermansen was clear about how he sees the move.

– I am very pleased that everything is ready. I think it’s a “perfect match” for me, Hermansen says Gothenburg Post.

He describes how the first impression of the club has been positive.

– I have just arrived here but after meeting the coaches and teammates I already feel that I enjoy being with them. It will suit my development very well to be here, says Hermansen to GP.

The interest from GAIS became known just over a month ago, and according to the goalkeeper himself, no further thinking time was required.

– I didn’t have to think too much, I’ve always wanted to play at the highest possible level and this is my next step, says Hermansen to GP.
