Four Haut-Marnais will participate, Saturday February 7 and Sunday February 8, in the Grand Est regional indoor championships, in Mulhouse (Haut-Rhin).
Among the youth, Saturday February 7, three archers from SLO Bettancourt will be in the running. In U11 recurve, Liam Broutin will have a lot to do for his very first regional championship, with three opponents who have results well above his own. In any case, it will be a great experience.
In U13 recurve, Nathan Mangin will also have his first experience at this level. Fifth in the regional ranking with an average of 499 points, he can hope to create a surprise during the duels.
Finally, in U15 recurve, Chloé Marcher, sixth in the regional ranking, with an average of 520 points, will have fifteen other competitors in her category. “Having three representatives is very good for the club. We are proud of them. We want them to do their best. The quotas were very limited”confides Monica Vallelian, president of SLO Bettancourt. Qualifying shooting will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the duels will take place from 1:30 p.m.
Sunday February 8, Jean Douge, member of the 1re Compagnie d’Arc d’Eclaron, will be the sole representative of Haut-Marne. Engaged in senior “1” compound archery where there will be eight participants, he will try to make the best possible course, he who presents himself in Alsace with an average of 575 points.
