Alex Lanier: Caen & Normandy’s Basketball Inspiration

Crowned French champion in Chambly in 2025, for the first time among seniors, Alex Lanier will defend his title in Caen, from February 6 to 8, 2026. And, on his land, the Calvadosian is eagerly awaited by his family, his friends and all those involved in Norman badminton.

“The last time I saw Alex play in Normandy, it must have been when he played interclub, for the Dives-sur-Mer club, at 13 or 14 years old. For his return, there will be all his loved ones, family and all his friends from Dives. There is even a club operation to offer places for kids. All his fans are going to come, everyone who saw him when he was young. There will be lots of people we don’t even know, but we know that Alex has a lot of followers in Normandy.
