2026 World Cup: France’s Final Prep Match Location Revealed

Supporters of the French football team will be able to organize themselves. Before flying to the United States to compete in the 2026 World Cup – from June 11 to July 19 – the Blues will refine their settings and rehearse their ranges in France. They will indeed play two preparation matches.

We already knew that the first of the two would be played at the Beaujoire stadium in Nantes on Thursday June 4, we now know the location of the second. The French Football Federation announced this Monday that it would be at the Decathlon Arena Pierre-Mauroy stadium on Monday June 8. The two opponents “remain to be determined” specifies the FFF.

“The first should be against an opponent who played in the African Cup of Nations, the second will depend on the European play-off matches for qualification for the World Cup in March,” indicated Philippe Diallo, the president of the Federation during the Executive Committee meeting on January 15.

Direction the United States

The French delegation will fly on Tuesday June 9 for the United States and its base camp in Boston (Massachusetts).

Placed in group I, Didier Deschamps’ players will play the first round against Senegal, recent winner of the CAN, then against the winner of the intercontinental play-off (Iraq, Bolivia or Suriname) and Norway.

The first opponent could be Ivory Coast which was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the CAN by Egypt (3-2).
