The Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo 2026 officially start with a ceremony. It will be hosted by the iconic San Siro football stadium in Milan. Slovak flag bearers will be ice hockey player Tomáš Tatar and bobsledder Viktória Čerňanská. Tatar will carry the flag at Milan’s iconic San Siro stadium, Čerňanská zasa in Cortina.

This time, the opening ceremony will take place at four locations. In addition to Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, also in Predazza and Livigno. Flag bearers do not have to be together in one place, but they can carry the flag of their country in different places.
