MORELIA, Mich., February 7, 2026.- With our eyes set on the National Olympiad Conade 2026, This Saturday it is the turn of the judo discipline, to assemble its Michoacan selections who will seek their passes to the great joust, at the end of this month and next April.
There are 41 judokas belonging to four clubs in the capital of Michoacán: Cecufid; Sakura, Chapultepec and Lions, who face each other this Saturday on the tatami installed in the Multipurpose Auditorium of the Army of the Revolution Sports Center (CDER).
“We hope to bring a selection of approximately 20 athletes, 10 in minor categories and 10 in youth, for the two classification tournaments in which the passes to the greatest celebration of amateur sports in our country will be up for grabs,” explained Sergio García Malfavón, president of the Michoacan Judo Association.
The event for youth categories will take place on February 28 in Tlaxcala, while the children’s categories will meet in Guadalajara to fight for the same objective in the month of April.
Michoacan judo conquered two bronze medals in education 2025 of the Conade National Olympiad, thanks to the brothers Mirari and Martín Pérez, who, on this occasion, are motivated to surpass the achievement achieved in Tlaxcala last June.
