2026 Olympics Cortina: Women’s Alpine Skiing Start List

In the order of the 25th Winter Olympic Games, the second medal discipline in downhill skiing is on the program on Sunday. After the men’s race, the women’s race will also take place.

In Cortina d’Ampezzo, 36 female competitors will take the start on the Tofane slope, but in the end there is not a single one of them with a Slovak flag.

On Friday, the Slovak Skiing Association nominated 21-year-old Katarína Šrobová for the royal discipline, but her Olympic debut has finally been postponed.

Malorie Blancová, one of the four Swiss women, will open the race with the number one, while her compatriot Corinne Suterová, who won the gold medal in Beijing four years ago, will also be on the slopes.

The main favorites will traditionally go to the track in the range of numbers 10 to 15. The start of Lindsey Vonn, who was injured last week in Crans-Montana, but still belongs to the aspirants for a medal, attracts a lot of attention.

After her, the Austrian Mirjam Puchnerová will appear with the fourteenth seed, and Sofia Goggiová will complete the seeded fifteenth seed. She finished silver in Beijing and on Friday she had the honor of lighting the Olympic flame in Cortina.

STVR, Eurosport 1, ČT Šport will broadcast the live broadcast of the women’s race at the Olympic Games, and the online text broadcast can be found at Sportnet.sk.
