Arriving at the start of August with an option to buy and a promise tag after his transfer from Kasimpasa in Turkey to Aston Villa, Özcan failed to convince Besnik Hasi. The Turkish international (1 cap) played six games with the Anderlecht senior team, notably starting in the last championship match against Dender (0-0).
