Kyshawn George and the Wizards returned to victory on Tuesday in the NBA. Beaten in its last nine games, Washington beat Portland 115-111 to pick up its 11th success of the season.
Hit in an ankle three days earlier against Charlotte, Kyshawn George held his place perfectly against the Trail Blazers, the day after his nomination for the “Rising Stars” tournament of the All-Star weekend. Canada-Switzerland even shone.
The Valais winger certainly lacked skill (5/16 shooting), but he still scored 19 points by hitting 4 of his 10 3-point attempts. He also had 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks for a differential of +19.
Kyshawn George’s arm didn’t shake (too much) when he found himself on the free throw line 15”5 from the end of the match while his team led 112-111. He succeeded in one of his two attempts, Khris Middleton returning his two free throws to seal the score 6”5 from the buzzer.
Niederhäuser little in sight
Also selected for the “Rising Stars” tournament, Clippers “rookie” Yanic Konan Niederhäuser was only allowed 6 minutes of play in a match won 115-103 by Los Angeles on the Utah Jazz floor. Entering the game at the end of the match, the Friborg pivot missed the only shot he attempted. The Clippers have 16 wins in their last 19 games.
