Big news from Italy: the multi-million transfer from Alphadjo Cissè to PSV is as good as completed. According to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, all that is missing is an agreement between his boss Hellas Verona and Catanzaro, which is renting the nineteen-year-old midfielder.
The transfer is worth eight million euros, it sounds. Previously, an amount of approximately six million was discussed. It is obvious that a package with bonuses and a resale percentage has been agreed. As soon as Hellas Verona and Catanzaro reach an agreement about the termination of the lease, the way is clear for PSV. According to Di Marzio the Italian clubs are still arguing among themselves about a compensation of one million euros.
Cissè is a nineteen-year-old Italian with Guinean roots. At Catanzaro, which has rented him from Hellas Verona since the summer of 2025, he mainly plays as an attacking midfielder in his first season as a professional. Bee #DoneDealby transferpodcast van VoetbalPrimeurCissè has already been called a potential Eredivisie sensation. “He has the bravado of Noa Lang, the dribbling of Neymar and free kicks that you dread.”
In twenty Serie B games this season, Cissè has scored six goals and one assist. He is still contracted at Hellas Verona until mid-2029. The likely transfer comes as a surprise. PSV coach Peter Bosz indicated for a long time that he wanted to finish the season with the current selection, although the door was always open for ‘opportunities’. In Eindhoven they now think it is time to bring in Cissè.
