Louis Barré has signed up for three seasons with the Dane’s team.
Frenchman Louis Barré has signed up for the next three seasons with the Visma-Lease a bike team, the Dutch cycling team announced in a press release on Thursday.
The 25-year-old from Nantes was under contract with the Belgian team Intermarché-Wanty until the end of 2026 but the merger of the latter with Lotto allowed the rider to free himself from his contract.

At Visma, the puncher will find three compatriots: Bruno Armirail, also arrived this season, from Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale as well as Christophe Laporte and Axel Zingle, already under contract.
“Louis has strong potential for progression. We are convinced that he can continue to develop within our team and we see him as a major asset for the most difficult hilly races,” said Grischa Niermann, the sports director of Visma-Lease a bike.
“The team is innovative in all areas: nutrition, equipment, preparation, etc. I want to prove myself and I think I can become the best version of myself here,” explained the Frenchman.
Barré competed in his first Tour de France (82nd) last season, during which he placed 6th in the Amstel Gold Race and the Montreal GP.
