Under the coordination of Visa District Governorate and hosted by the District Directorate of Youth and Sports; Vize Children’s Basketball Camp, organized in cooperation with Enerjisa Üretim and Güler Legacy, was successfully held at the Vize Indoor Sports Hall. The camp, which was implemented with the aim of healthy generations growing up with sports, attracted great attention in the district.
High Participation from Girls in the Camp
A total of 50 child athletes took part in the basketball camp, where mainly girls between the ages of 8 and 12 from schools in Vize district participated. During the camp, the aim was to give children basic basketball training and give them a solid start in sports.
Basic Basketball Training and Team Spirit
In the training carried out during the camp; Basic basketball skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting and coordination exercises were taught. At the same time, it was aimed to support children’s physical development, gain team spirit and increase their interest in sports.

Basketball camp was not limited to just sporting gains. The development of children’s social skills, gaining self-confidence and acquiring disciplined work habits were among the important achievements of the camp.

The camp ended with the award ceremony held with the participation of Vize District Governor Kemal Balaban, Vize Mayor Ercan Özalp and the district protocol. At the ceremony, jerseys, bags and basketballs were presented as gifts to the child athletes who worked hard throughout the camp.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Vize District Governor Kemal Balaban pointed out the importance of introducing children to sports at an early age and said:
“As the District Governorship and the District Directorate of Youth and Sports, we will continue to support our children to engage in sports at an early age, grow up as healthy individuals and gain social skills.” he said.
