The first match of 2026 for the Virtus it’s the Italian derby against Milan, in the last match of the first round of this infinite 20-team Euroleague
The Bianconeri will certainly not have Edwards and Diarra, both out for a couple of weeks, while they could recover Smailagic. They will face an Olimpia team whose change of coach – Messina resigned and Poeta promoted – seems to have given serenity to the whole environment and to the team in particular. In addition to the points up for grabs for the Euroleague standings, it will be another opportunity for the two teams to compete after the championship match two weeks ago, won by Armani quite clearly against a rather subdued Virtus. Tomorrow evening the sold out Arena could push the Bianconeri, knowing that in any case the two teams are “condemned” to meet even later, when they will play for the Italian Cup and the Scudetto.
The game will be played tomorrow at 8.30pm, live on Sky Sport, NOW and Neptune Bologna One.
