Vikings GM Fired: Kwesi Adofo-Mensah Out?

This is surprising news coming from the Minnesota Vikings.

While the period for hiring coaches and general managers is in full swing, the Vikings are making a transaction in the opposite direction. This Friday, NFL Network tells us that Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has been dismissed from his position.

Arriving in 2022, Adofo-Mensah had nevertheless signed a contract extension in May 2025. The explanation for this decision is probably explained by the bad season of his team, but also his management at the quarterback position. In 4 years of reign, he posted a record of 43 victories and 25 defeats.

As a reminder, the Vikings decided to trust JJ McCarthy rather than Sam Darnold. As the end of the season approaches, the results are clear. The sophomore only played 10 matches and didn’t really convince. While the second going to play in the Super Bowl in a few days.
