AD (Hearing Impaired)
In men’s singles, the reigning champion Xavier-Guillaume VALLEDOR, Titouan KEIFFER and Antoine GASPARUTTO validated their qualification for the next round of the competition thanks to two victories each in their group. The last qualifying place will be played tomorrow between Kevin EAV and Mathys GARCES, who will still have one match to play.
In the women’s singles, Emma REYMOND, Jeanne REMY, Emma HURTAUD and Virginie MARECHAL won a first victory in their respective groups.
The single group for the men’s doubles remains undecided, as does that of the women’s doubles, with many matches still to be played.
Finally, in mixed doubles, Titouan KEIFFER/Emma REYMOND, Kevin EAV/Louise BERNARD, Xavier-Guillaume VALLEDOR/Emma HURTAUD and Théotime MORET/Louise PROUTEAU are the four pairs to secure a place in the semi-finals.
WH1 and WH2 (armchair players)
The men’s singles WH1 has already delivered four semi-finalists at the end of this first day of competition. David TOUPE, Sébastien MARTIN, Vincent MARCHERAS and Pascal BARRILLON will meet tomorrow for decisive confrontations. Same scenario on the WH2 side, where Thomas JAKOBS, Raphael BON, Bruno CAT and François NALBORCZYK validate their qualification.
As for the WH1 women’s singles, played in a single pool, Charline MAYER stood out by winning on this first day. The other matches will take place tomorrow. For the WH2 ladies, Marilou MAUREL, Orianne JARRIN, Sabrina CORNAYRE and Mélanie PUYPE, with 2 victories each, secure a place in the semi-final.
In men’s doubles WH1/WH2, the duos CAT/MARCHERAS and BON/DECOBECQ secured their place for the semi-finals. Audrey BELLIA SAUVAGE/Florence DELGAL and Sabrina CORNAYRE/Nathalie LAURENT take the lead in their single group WH1/WH2. In mixed, we will find several pairs accustomed to France in the quarter-finals, such as the duos David TOUPE/Emmanuelle OTT or even Sébastien MARTIN/Marilou MAUREL. SL3, SL4 and SU5 (standing players)
Mathieu THOMAS puts his crown back on the line in men’s singles SL3. The French international, unsurprisingly, finished first in his group and qualified for the quarters, like Thomas NUMITOR or Mathis REMY. Among the ladies, Enrika DEMENTIEFF won the first meeting in a single group.
The men’s singles SL4 delivered a busy day, with many players qualifying for the round of 16 scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Among them, we find Mathis CLEMENT, Lucas SAILLARD, Guillaume GAILLY and Teddy FERRAZZA.
In women’s singles SL4/SU5, Léa PERROT and Marjorie BOIGEOL are the first to qualify for the semi-finals. We will have to wait for tomorrow’s confrontations to find out the last qualifiers from the groups.
As for the SU5 men’s singles, the six players qualified for the quarter-finals are already known, Meril LOQUETTE, reigning champion, will be there. Several of them will also try to get a medal in the men’s doubles, like the local of the stage, Abdoullah AIT BELLA, qualified in both tables.
There will be several of them attempting the double, with the men’s doubles SL3/SL4. like Mathieu THOMAS, Thomas NUMITOR and Teddy FERRAZZA.Clara LEFAUCHEUX/Laureen MARCHAND, Josiane LYVONNET/Catherine NAUDIN, Maelle GUIOT/Lenaïg MORIN and Emmanuelle LEDET/Léa PERROT are out of the group in the ladies’ doubles SL3/SU5 and will meet tomorrow for the semi-finals.
Finally, in mixed doubles SL3/SL4/SU5, the favorites Meril LOQUETTE/Laureen MARCHAND easily validate their ticket for the quarters. Mathieu THOMAS, mixed winner in 2025, in turn qualifies with his new partner, Clara LEFAUCHEUX. We will also have to count on the duo Lénaïg MORIN/Hugo SAUMIER, regulars in the picture!
SH6 (small players)
In the SH6 category, where Pauline BEAUFOUR-PELLE joined the men in the singles table, Paralympic champion Charles NOAKES, Fabien MORAT and Maxime GREBOVAL, are already distinguishing themselves by qualifying for the semi-finals. One last place will be found for Arnaud HUILLIER or Louis BEAUFOUR-PELLE
