Vicenza-Cittadella 4-1: Derby Win & Serie B Promotion Push

If there is a date that Vicenza will have to circle in red on the calendar it is that of Monday 26 January. A resounding victory over Cittadella 4-1 Nel Derby, with the simultaneous defeat of Lecco which sends the Lombards -15 from the top. A sensational advantage, now unbridgeable: promotion to Serie B is ever closer. Cittadella did badly, crashing even further than the score says.

I start quietly

The first chance falls to Stückler, who receives from Leverbe in the 6th minute but is closed by an excellent intervention from Maniero. Two minutes later a throw-in from Costa reaches Caferri, who sensationally misses the shot on goal. In the 14th minute Maniero risks making a big mistake, shooting at Stückler and only being saved by a rebound. Shortly afterwards Salvi gets hurt, falling badly after an aerial collision: you even need a stretcher to take him off the pitch. Inside his place De Zen.
