“Valmiera” defeats “FBK SĀC” and catches up with Kekavies
The penultimate round of the regular tournament of the ELVI floorball league for men started with a match at the Valmiera Olympic Center, where “FBK Valmiera” hosted Đadaž “FBK SĀC”. Victory with 13:7 was won by the people of Valmiera, for which Mārtiņš Broks and Ralfs Matīss Balodis collected five points each.
Already in the 2nd minute of the match, Valmieri’s Arvjas Karklinis opened the score, using their numerical majority (1:0). In the 10th minute, the result became tied again (1:1), because this time the advantage of one man was realized by Adažni. Goal scored by Tomas Kristofers Birstins. In the 17th minute, when both teams fought in full formations, Richards Riba put the hosts in the lead with 2:1. In the continuation of the game, Valmierians did not let go of the reins. After the second third, the home team had a three-goal advantage (8:5), but throughout the game “FBK Valmiera” celebrated the victory with 13:7.
Ralf Matīsa Balodi, who has 5 (1+4) performance points, was recognized as the best player in the winning team. 5 (3+2) points for Mārtiņš Brock, while 3 (2+1) points were collected by Ričards Eglītis and Arvis Kārklinņš. Niks Naglinņš, the author of three assists, received the award for the best player in the Đadaži team. His teammate Ralfs Celminņš stood out with a hat-trick. After this victory, “FBK Valmiera” has 6th place and 34 points in the tournament table. The same number of points for the team “FK Ķekava/RB&B”, which occupies the 5th place. “FBK SĀC” still has 21 points and 8th place in the tournament table.
