The judoka, one of the young promises of the Titan Combat Club, obtains, thanks to this achievement, direct qualification for the national sector phase, which will be held this weekend in Oviedo
Valeri Silva Dotti has managed to win a bronze after a brilliant performance in the Galician Junior Judo Championship, held this weekend in Ferrol. The Lagunera, one of the young promises of the Titan Combat Club, managed to get on the podium as third place in the -52 kg category, sharing a position with Sofía López Gordo.
The judoka began the competition by only losing in her first match against Zeltia Sousa, who would eventually become champion of the tournament, which gives greater value to Valeri’s subsequent career. Far from collapsing, the athlete showed character and determination in the repechage, beating Lidia Trabado in a very hard-fought and highly intense fight.
Already in the fight for bronze, Valeri faced Laura Prieto, resolving the fight with authority and achieving victory by ippon, as in the previous repechage fight, demonstrating technical and mental solvency in the decisive moments.
Thanks to this result, Valeri Silva Dotti obtains direct qualification for the national sector phase, which will be held this weekend in Oviedo, where he will seek a place in the final phase of the Spanish Junior Championship. This is, without a doubt, a new step forward for the young judoka and for the Titanes Judokas sports project, which continues to consolidate itself on the regional and national scene.
