NHL: Defeat for Schmid
Akira Schmid made his 21st appearance this season on Monday night. The goalie from Emmental and the Vegas Golden Knights had to admit defeat to the Chicago Blackhawks 2-3 in overtime. Schmid stopped 17 of 20 shots. The match winner for the Blackhawks was Tyler Bertuzzi, who scored a hat trick. In overtime, the striker scored after 188 seconds. In New Jersey’s 3-1 home defeat against Carolina, Jonas Siegenthaler had his 4th assist point credited with the consolation goal.

NHL: record for Crosby
Sidney Crosby set an NHL record in Pittsburgh’s 5-4 overtime win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. The superstar scored the decisive goal in the 63rd minute. It was his 50th career point in overtime. No other player has more.
NBA: George still injured
The Washington Wizards suffered a 115:141 home defeat against Minnesota. The Swiss Kyshawn George was injured for the 5th time in a row. The Valais native is suffering from a hip injury. The Wizards said it was unclear when George would return.
